Placer County Office of Education is committed to providing exemplary leadership and service to schools, parents, and the community as we work together to provide a globally competitive, comprehensive, rigorous and relevant education to all students.

In collaboration with the Placer County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), we are working to build an integrated and equitable educational system for all students.

Placer County SELPA serves as a Content Lead in the California State System of Support, with the Open Access project. This project is designed to provide universal shared resources and tools, and options for technical assistance and resources to assist regional teams across California in building capacity in implementation across one or more key areas related to eliminating barriers to access (Universal Design for Learning, Assistive Technology, Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
