Example narrative
"I support teachers integrating technology into their middle school classrooms. It is hard to provide training, as teachers’ needs fluctuate and are shaped by their discipline and their confidence level. Currently, we host monthly training on the same 3-4 tools with limited success."
Subject: Middle school teachers (Math, Reading, Science)
Objective: Provide more discipline-based activities tools/technology training for teachers to use
Outcome: More thoughtful and intentional use of technology to support MS teacher pedagogy.
Tools: Computer Lab, Personal Laptops, limited licenses for software, tablets, raspberry pi
Division of Labor: Teachers (art, music, gym), grade-level team meetings, and subject meetings (monthly)
Community: Monthly PD workshops, librarian, and special teachers(?) parents or outside experts? We do have a community college nearby.
Rules: Stay within budget. Special teachers don’t have as much PD. Science teachers traditionally get the most teaching resources. We have supportive leadership, although they don’t really understand the trends in technology or application.
