The New Hampshire Story of Transformation: UDL Academy
Supporting leaders and teachers by building the skills, knowledge and dispositions to move toward a student-centered, competency-based system is central to the work of the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHDOE) (New Hampshire Vision 2.0, 2015).
Supporting leaders and teachers by building the skills, knowledge and dispositions to move toward a student-centered, competency-based system is central to the work of the New Hampshire Department of Education (NHDOE) (New Hampshire Vision 2.0, 2015). To be effective in achieving this goal, it is critical that educators engage in a systematic professional learning approach to maximize opportunities for all students. In addition to the current state initiatives that support districts, NHDOE provides districts the opportunity to participate in the New Hampshire UDL Implementation Academy. This resource highlights the core components of UDL Implementation from multiple perspectives, i.e. through the lenses of the NHDOE, CAST as the provider of professional learning, and the Fall Mountain school district as one of the teams engaged in the UDL Academy.
