Edwin Javius works to improve school programs through a focus on Educational Equity as it relates to accountability and district support systems. As the founder/president/CEO of EDEquity Inc., an educational consultant firm, he has led his company to be one of the most sought-after educational consultant firms in the country. The company’s Key Principles of Equity Framework™ has been nationally recognized as the foundation for implementing Equity to improve the practice and performances of educators. Javius has provided school districts with professional development for the successful implementation of culturally conscious strategies to decrease disproportionality in discipline for students of diverse backgrounds. Mr. Javius has authored several articles on Courageous Equity Leadership and Cultural Consideration to Positive Behavior Support and Equity in Improvement Science. In addition, he works with the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence in supporting the implementation of California’s new accountability and support systems. Javius has garnered several awards, such as California’s first statewide ACSA's Valuing Diversity Award, NAACP’s Silicon Valley’s Educator of the Year Award, and Association of African American Educators Professional Development Statewide Leadership Recognition.
A graduate of U.C. Berkeley in Social Science. Earned a Master in School leadership from Fresno Pacific University and studied at University of Southern California in Urban Leadership.
