The UDLHE Network is inviting you to a quarterly meeting: UDL in the Digital Learning Environment Part 2: Community Dialogue
Online

On May 18th from 3:00-4:30pm ET, the UDLHE Network will be meeting for a collaborative dialogue around the topic of “UDL in the Digital Environment.”

This is part two of our three part series this year. Part 1 (Member Spotlight) featured some powerful stories and examples from members in Ireland, Canada and the U.S. Please feel free to go back and watch it if you missed (but you don’t need to have seen it to attend this event!).

This collaborative dialogue will focus on using facilitated breakout rooms in which we will rotate through these questions:

  • What’s happening at your institution as far as implementing UDL in the digital environment?
  • What unintentional/accidental barriers have emerged during the migration to the digital environment? Student barriers? Faculty/staff barriers?
  • What do you see happening or needing to happen specifically for supporting marginalized students and groups via UDL in the digital environment?
  • What are the pain points?
    • We will be collecting and refining these to guide our next quarterly meeting - a problem-solving design lab!
  • Envision digital learning 3 years from now.
    • What do we want to maintain from the time of Covid?
    • How do these align with UDL?
    • What’s your vision for digital learning in the near future?

It promises to be a rich and rewarding discussion as we learn with and from each other! Hope to see you there!
