Data Based Decision Making Using Behavioral Data
How can an administrator, coach, or teacher use behavior data more effectively and equitably to inform classroom instruction?
This course is targeted at the administrator, coach, or teacher who wants to use behavior data to inform student support. Analyzing data is not new in education. Collecting data to gauge student learning and engagement (think quizzes, tests, tracking attendance and much more) has been part of teaching from the beginning. Collecting other student data - their background, personality characteristics, strengths, weaknesses and much more - is a regular part of any educators day. There is more data to be collected, understood and used! How can we, as educators, learn how to effectively collect and analyze many types of behavioral data that’s available to better support student learning and engagement? Where do we begin to analyze behavior data? This course will provide the foundations to effectively collect and analyze behavioral data.
