Following 15 years studying, teaching and being an administrator for inclusive education in the US, I have spent 9 years living and practicing in Algeria -- the largest country in Africa - a huge but well-hidden expanse stretching from the mountainous Mediterranean coastline to the southern Saharan border with Lybia, Niger, Mali, and Mauritania. I love tinkering with teacher training -- looking to find and cultivate great educators who are equipped with high-quality teaching tools, able to create expert learners. In Algeria I run an American NGO - World Learning -- implementing education and employment programs for youth across Algeria, as well being the founder and Head of School for the Aures School -- an inclusive primary, middle and high school in Algieras, aiming to bring best practices in international education standards to the Algerian national education curriculum.
