UDL in Natural Resource Sciences: Using Keys for Sample Identification Introductory geology courses often rely on memorizing rock and mineral samples. This does not represent field methods of sample identification and students with memory difficulties fail ID tests. Sample identification using field tests and dichotomous keys promotes deeper learning and eliminates the need for memory aids for students with accommodations.
